"Turner is king of the cliffhanger!"
Glenda Shaw, television producer and two-time Emmy Award nominee

"Once again, James Houston Turner writes a captivating, thrilling novel that pushes your imagination to the limits. Extraordinarily written... a  tour de force to the mysterious world of terrorists, politics, religion, and espionage."
Marisa Darnel, Artist Interviews Magazine

"Briskly-paced, nimbly plotted and crisply written by Adelaide author James Houston Turner, The Identity Factor simultaneously entertains and informs.  Turner leads the reader through a labyrinth of secret identities, covert activities, CIA investigations, terrorism, religion, and political manoeuvring until the satisfying conclusion. Expertly executed, taut, [and] smart, The Identity Factor is a wonderfully old-fashioned suspense thriller that works. It is the kind of complex book writers supposedly don't write anymore."
Stephen Davenport, The Independent Weekly

"One of those searing, cliffhanger books that simply defy one to put the thing down."
Samela Harris, The Advertiser

“Reminiscent of The DaVinci Code... Turner's flawless tale is a highly recommended read for anyone wondering how the government really works outside the halls of Congress and the White House. With tight prose, tighter action, and enough plot twists, red herrings, and misdirection to render even the sharpest lovers of suspense thoroughly bewildered, Turner [is] adept at turning a story on its ear and holding your interest captive until you just can't take it anymore.  In fact, so expertly put together is this intricate tale of intrigue, that one can't help wondering if Turner himself may not actually be who he claims he is...”

“The Identity Factor is one killer of a thriller – a Jason Bourne meets The DaVinci Code kind of mystery inside a puzzle... a labyrinth of secret identities and covert CIA activities [that] has heart, provokes thought, and inspires– all while taking you on an unforgettable, high-velocity ride of sheer enjoyment.”

"When you have read enough thrillers, you pretty much expect twists and turns in the story, as well as [know] most, if not all of the culprits. Halfway through The Identity Factor by James Houston Turner - a cross between Bourne Identity and the Jack Ryan series by Tom Clancy - you... are lulled into the comfortable position of 'knowing everything,' and just when you think the book isn't going anywhere surprising, the shocks start and go on 'til the epilogue."
Fleiger Adler, Blogcritics Magazine

"The Identity Factor has it all – fast pace, witty dialogue, an intriguing cast of characters pitted against an unforgettable conspiracy as current as today’s headlines. I love a good international thriller and James Houston Turner nailed it!”
Jordan Dane, Avon award-winning author of No One Heard Her Scream

“Layered identities are one of the many surprises that await readers in this magnificent, staccato-paced thriller.  Memorable...first-rate...The Identity Factor has a brilliantly graceful presence about it...one of those can't-put-it-down type of books with a sweetly-layered climax that will satisfy long after the final page has been turned.   It will definitely earn Turner a seat at the table of the masters...
Bookstew, Valley Scene Magazine

"
James Houston Turner has a real winner with his new novel, 'The Identity Factor.' I was hooked from the very first page."
Cherie Fisher, ReaderViews.com

"With the steep decline of unrealistic [James Bond] spy novels... authors such as Robert Ludlum, Vince Flynn, David Baldacci and Brad Thor have become household names. Well guys, it’s time to make room for one more, and his name is Turner: James Houston Turner."

"I was set to not like this book. I've gotten a lot of small press books in the past few weeks and most of them have been terrible.  So I figured that I'd read it, rip it, and move on.  But The Identity Factor is one of the best spy/thriller novels I've read."

"Talented author James Houston Turner... weaves a series of intricately balanced subplots into a solidly crafted tale of suspense, intrigue, and murder as lived by characters so real you believe they exist."
Anne K. Edwards, MysteryFiction.net

"Forget the dross that one can find in the popular fiction aisle and seek this one out. You will not be sorry."
Andrew Ian Dodge, Blogger News Network.

"Get the book that everybody is raving about!" says Jesse Dylan on his award-winning internet radio talk show, The Good Life. Broadcasting to an audience of over five million listeners, internationally renowned broadcaster and journalist Jesse Dylan talked with James about The Identity Factor, his victory over cancer, and more.  Jesse has interviewed guests such as Dr. Michael Roizen, Mark Victor Hansen (co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series), Sarah Ferguson, Deepak Chopra, and Paulo Coelho.

Yes, the legend of the fluffy pink bathrobe lives on. Fleiger Adler, who reviewed The Identity Factor (see above), spoke with James about his life as a smuggler behind the old Iron Curtain, as a writer, as a cancer survivor, and more - including the episode of the fluffy pink bathrobe. You, my man, have raised the bar! The Identity Factor is beyond great! The preliminary reviews of Bourne meets DaVinci meets Ryan simply does not do this book justice. There's little I can say to support this without being a "spoiler", (which I do NOT want to do) but I think there are subtle differences in all those comparisons, and I've got some damn good arguments to back up my belief that you've managed to edge out the competition on all three fronts!!! I'm amazed that you did not fall into the trap of creating a "repeat" of style from The Second Thirteen. These books are so different to me, from content to style to pace. And so you've managed something many authors cannot... A reason to KEEP reading your works. I can't stand when you come across a talented writer whose stories are so similar that they become predictable and thus....boring. Just don't see this being a problem for you! One complaint....Can't you write any damn faster?
